Ceramic resonators are a lower cost alternative to quartz crystals where temperature stability is not important.
Frequencies are available from 190kHz to 50MHz. The ceramic resonator is very rugged and ideal for applications such as remote control and other consumer application.
Devices are available with built-in capacitors thus reducing component count and assembly costs.
