Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) resonators offer high fundamental frequencies and are ideal for use in applications such as keyless entry, low power radio etc.

Using quartz, lithium niobate or lithium tantalate SAW resonators are offered in two-port or single-port devices. Although exhibiting lower Q than crystal resonators the high fundamental frequencies and compact size make them the choice of many designers.

Frequency range is from 70MHz to 1GHz in both leaded and SMD packages.

SMD devices are available as small as 3x3mm.
