Ceramic Filters are generally used for I.F. frequencies of 10.7MHz and below, 455kHz being the most common. Although not as stable with temperature as crystal filters they are very rugged and low cost so are ideal for 2nd I.F. applications.

Both leaded and SMD versions are available up to 8 elements.
